"Waldorf, Md., (CNSNews.com) – House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D.-Md.) told a town hall meeting on Tuesday night that the health care reform legislation under consideration in Congress will not increase taxes or deficit spending, and must be paid for or he won't vote for it.

A participant at the town hall meeting that was held in Waldorf, Md., asked Hoyer if he believed the health care bill would cause a "tax increase or an increase to the deficit?"

"Neither," Hoyer replied...."

Clearly, Mr. Hoyer is a proponent and partaker of medicinal marijuana. Or something stronger.

Pelosi would waterboard him before he's able to vote no.

I don’t believe him for a minute but thought it was interesting he would make a public statement like that.

"will not increase taxes or deficit spending, and must be paid for or he won't vote for it".

Isn't this guy the Majority Whip?

This means there will be no plan beyond insurance reform...NO government expenditures.

Hoyer is a known backstabber and liar.

He's a tool of the Washington Post.

He’s Majority Leader. Nanzi Pelozi’s #2.
He’s also one of the biggest liars in a House of Liars.
He’s not really saying he won’t support it.
He’s saying he won’t support it if it raises taxes or increases the deficit, and he is supporting it, so you can trust him that it won’t do either.
Typical slimeball politicking.

... "will not increase taxes or deficit spending, and must be paid for or he won't vote for it".

Which, to make a long story short, means he's lying.

"Neither," Hoyer replied...."

In other words, he's NOT saying he won't support this monstrosity. He's just repeating the Official Obama Lie that it won't cost anything.

Absolutely! Steny may be a liar and a backstabber, but he’s never made it a secret that he hates Nancy Pelosi more than he hates the Republicans.

In his eyes, she stole his speakership, and I don’t think he’d miss such a ripe chance to legitimately stick her in the eye!! There’s enough wrangling in the ranks of the Demorats, that he has some cover to go against the Queen Bee.

A true politician will throw his own grandmother... or Speaker under the bus if it advances him or herself.

They’ll come back with a health plan that will SOUND better, but will leave the door open for killing off more of us as soon as it’s passed.

“Which, to make a long story short, means he’s lying.”

True, but if Republicans were smart, they would say they agree with Hoyer and are willing to support reform IF AND ONLY IF it entails no new taxes or deficit spending.

Given that the CBO has honestly scored all the proposals, they can rely on CBO’s official numbers rather than Hoyer’s verbal assurances that whatever bill being considered passes this stringent test.

They know there’s absolutely no way the Dems can get what they want without new taxes since the cuts they’ve already proposed for Medicare to pay for health reform have invoked a firestorm of protest and there ain’t no place but Medicare to find the federal budget savings to offset the hundreds of billions in new taxes being proposed to bankroll this behemoth.

It’s almost as if Hoyer deliberately or subconsciously publicly sent the instructions to the Republicans on how to checkmate Pelosi and friends!

Does anyone honestly think Obama and his minions will tell the truth on the cost of ObamaCare & DemDeathPanels?

We all know that they will lie, cheat, steal and kill grandma if it means passing their socialist agenda!
