Dear Defender of Liberty,
I would like to introduce you to a good friend of mine, Debra Medina. I have known Debra for over ten years and have always been impressed by her drive and commitment to principle. Debra has been a real defender of Liberty both in her home town of Wharton and across the state of Texas.
Debra has for years been a key supporter and member of my campaign team. As chairman of the Wharton County Republican Party, she has stood up to the big government establishment and fought to hold our party accountable to our platform and our conservative Texas values. Because of her leadership and organizational skills, I asked Debra to serve on the board of directors of my national grassroots action group, Campaign for Liberty, where she has played an important role in our fight to defend our Constitution.
In addition to her political accomplishments, I am proud of Debra for the person she is. Debra Medina is a loving wife, a home school mother of two talented honor students, and a successful business owner. Debra is a true success story and role model for Texans across our state.
I am proud to call Debra Medina a friend, and as a fellow Texan, I encourage you to get to know her. Debra is exploring a run for higher office and would appreciate your input on her effort. You can learn more about her at www.medinafortexas.com.
I am sure we will look to Debra for leadership in my community and across our state for many years to come.
In Liberty,
Ron Paul
ping!
Well, this is a feather in her already elaborate cap.
Let’s say she manages to pull in 10% of the Republican primary vote and force a runoff between Perry and KBH. How do you think her voters will split between Perry, Hutchison, and not voting in a runoff?

Her voters won’t vote in the run off. They have principles, unlike the big government RINOs Perry and Hutchison.
She’s a Ronbot.
She may be. Frankly, however, I don’t care. She proposes getting rid of the property tax and sealing the border.
Sold.
Yeah right and replace property taxes with a state tax.
Interesting! Could you please link to your source? As far as I have seen, she’s never said a word about enacting a state income tax in Texas.
If a real conservative can’t be elected governor, I don’t care who wins.
I'm curious to know how many real conservatives with principles can you name that have been elected Senator, Governor, or President in the last 25 years?
Why do you think we don’t have a state income tax in Texas?
It’s because we have high property taxes.
Are you from Texas?
B-Chan....
Like many here I politically prognosticate. 2 years ago or more I kept saying watch this cutie pie from Alaska, all my friends had no clue, but thanks to Alaskan Freepers posting articles that maybe got 10 post caught my eye and and stirred my gut feel. May 08' I said to a friend (we have the emails ;-)) If Mclame wants a chance he will go Palin.
I am getting the feeling again with Mrs. Medina. She forgot more about the Constitution than Harry Reid knows. What I find interesting is their is a sentiment to throw all the bum's out and put average Joe and Jane's in. People do not realize it, but "Joe the Plumber" was the 1st, he just doesn't have an office or ran yet. Glenn Beck says we will see miracles. I think it may not be massive protest that changes the nation by bringing it to it's knees, but the rebirth of the Constitutionally Limited Republic by the likes of Mrs. Medina.
LOL! You in Texas have no idea what high property taxes are, you see Long Island's.
They are high enough. Don’t have any kids; but I have paid for three counties of them for many years.
And I have paid for three counties of them together.
I really like Debra Medina, but let’s not forget Hutchison got her Senate seat because the conservative vote was split and she had the RINO vote all to her self.
I’d hate to see her get to be governor because the conservative vote split again.
I might add property taxes is where Texas gets a lot of its taxes. Where the heck do you think they are going to get their main tax from if they don’t have property taxes?
Now think hard. Ah, state taxes; that’s where.
