With Ms. Sawyers ascension to World News, two of the three network evening newscasts will be anchored by women. Katie Couric took over the CBS Evening News in 2006. We all better buy stock in network evening news, it looks poised to spring back to greatness and mass audiences numbering in the tens of millions.

There really are people who want the major networks to get out of the news business entirely aren’t there? It’s crazy. If there’s an emergency they have to be able to break in and pass along information.

The captain of the Titanic is going below decks and is turning over control of the ship to the first mate. The ship will continue its present course and no difficulties are foreseen. That is all.

Uh oh... call the Diversity Czar.... an open position filled by a white woman - no way! ABC has no right to fill the position without it being given permission by the Czar....get with the program ABC

Trading one liberal Dumocrat for another. Does anyone even watch the network news anymore?
To: trumandogz
Not worse, Diane is a Republican and worked for Nixon.Working for Nixon hardly made one a conservative. Wage and price controls, EPA...not the finest hour for Republicans.

I know that someone must be watching these bozos on broadcast TV, but it has mystified me for
many years a decade or two.
I can barely tolerate any of them (Sawyer, Couric, Gibson, etc.) for more than 30 seconds. They are truly wretched pod-people.
Who watches them?
