Charles Krauthammer seems to be encouraging President Barack Obama to continue to forget that the government is the employee and that “We the people” are the employer (“Breathing life into ObamaCare,” Aug. 30). Any business owner worth his salt will say that if you want a successful business, you don’t put the employees in charge because they don’t always have the company’s best interest at heart.
So what do “We the people” not want from our health care? We don’t want it to be managed by an unaccountable government monopoly, we don’t want the country to become bankrupt paying for it, and we don’t want to pay unfair premiums nor pass the costs along to our children. Most of all, we don’t want a eugenics bill that only puts value on the productive taxpayer through a system of rationing and long waits for care.

Give back the private sector what belongs in the private sector --> banks, GM, etc. And, let the chips fall where they may if they fail.
Teachers and school administration --> summer reading, Hingham. MA... students were forced to read "Dreams of My Father" ... rubbish by Bill Ayers for Obambi.
Teachers and school administrators need to learn the hard way exactly who they work for... time for parents to step up to the plate... Start by reinstating American traditions... foreign born folks who are offended need to go back to their own countries to feel comfortable. These are the folks who are perpetually offended by our traditions...
And, judges need to know who they work for also.
They will pass something. IMO they will add a public option later. This idea is not dead enough yet.

Everyone in government *should* listen, but they demonstrate every day that they don’t have to. They would be wise to listen, but they demonstrate constantly that they are not wise.
My ongoing complaint with the best of the pundits — and I consider Charles Krauthammer one of the best — is that they so often say (in effect), “The rules require....” The people now in power give not one tiny damn for the rules.
Obama & Co will listen when they hear the gates and doors of the “palace” being blown off their hinges by mobs with pitchforks, torches, and M4s. I don’t want that, but they may not listen to anything less.

Medicare must be reformed. There is no other answer.
If they said so ... it would indicate what a poor/disaster of a job the government has done with managing Medicare.
It saves face for them to call for a whole new Health Care department. Which will replace the Medicare Program we now have.
They focus it... (Health Care Bill)... on the uninsured ... it is a ploy. We know that anyone that goes to the emergency room is treated now. Not new .... it has been that way of years and years.
