And before anyone asks...no...I couldn't make it to the Casey meeting yesterday. The West End was JAMMED for rush hour traffic (I had forgotten about that). After sitting in traffic for nearly an hour I ended up dropping a few things off at my son's house and then heading home.
Even if I had kept going to the meeting I wouldn't have arrived before 10-thirty or later.
However I understand the senator DID get an earfull. The news reports say the crowd was pretty evenly divided BUT I understand the opposition was CLEARLY in the majority.
I hope Quinn and Rose mention it today. I tried to call them Monday and yesterday but couldn't get through.

Today is the first day of school for me and my son-he’s a senior!

BTW-our school will not do the Presidents telelesson. I received materials for the census and subsequent lessons. What sheer joy it was to rip it to shreds.
(I think the office staff puts stuff like that in my mailbox to provoke me!!)

I am calling our School District this a.m. to find out if they are participating. I am going to ask if they will have an opt out of the presentation option or if permission slips will be used? And why or or why not?
HS age son was in the kitchen when Quinn was discussing it this morning...I told him yesterday about it. He ‘ignored’ the Inauguration WHICH THEY HAD TO HAVE ON IN EVERY CLASSROOM (per his teacher...but she opted to sit and grade papers and let the kids either watch (only two girls); or sit quietly and study/do homework. So I am hoping that this is a non-issue.
Senior year!!! It will fly by...good luck with your new classes/kids as well.

Oh my goodness YES!!! He asked me, when we were listening to come rather wistful Celtic music, if I think of my childhood. I looked at him-all adam’s apple, hairy legs, six foot one eating machine-and said no, I think of YOUR childhood...
He is doing dual enrollment with Penn State. No definite plans other than chase girls and worry about his looks. (sigh)
LOL...and the girls today do a fair amount of chasing...(four boys, one girl here). Yoi, the stories I could tell...
