The Waxman-Markey energy bill, which would restrict greenhouse gas emissions by creating a cap-and-trade system, was passed by the House in June and will likely be considered by the Senate soon. If the bill becomes law, gasoline prices would increase SIGNIFICANTLY in order to meet emissions limits imposed by the legislation. To see specific estimates, HOVER YOUR MOUSE OVER EACH STATE BELOW.

Even the Obama administration has admitted the national debt will be $9 trillion in ten years. The next generation or two is already in hock and will be lucky if it can even pay the interest on this astronomical sum. Unemployment remains high and tax revenues are accordingly reduced. Obamacare will cut Medicare by $500 billion as part of its overall socialized medical scheme. Taxes will inevitably increase as bailouts and social welfare programs continue to expand. Even worse, the administration that refuses to drill and refine domestic oil supplies now will impose enormous price increases on consumers for a vital commodity - petroleum products.

America will descend upon Congress with torches and pitchforks if the Senate dares pass this.

Nice try, but if they seriously want us to stop using gas the way they plan, then a better approximation will be something like the price increasing by $0.50 per year...indefinitely.

I "love" the hyper-hideous photo of the truly evil (in so many ways) Waxman.

Right - and in some states people are already paying almost a dollar a gallon in state and federal taxes! By the way, the original excuse for these taxes was road and highway maintenance and construction. But of course they piss that money away on other projects - we could pave our roads with gold if those billions went to their intended purpose.

I don’t think it has to an altered photo. He couldn’t be made to appear more ugly and hideous than in reality!
