As some of the most prominent Republican women across the country gather next week in Orlando, arguably the most well-known of them will not be in attendance.

Despite an invitation to speak at the conference, Sarah Palin, former vice presidential candidate, and until recently Alaska governor, decided not come to the National Federation of Republican Women's 35th Convention, according to the organization.

An estimated 1,200 Republican women leaders will attend the three day conference, and some of those are want Palin to reconsider.

"It is disappointing," says Barbara Davis, who heads the Melbourne, Fla. chapter." We were hoping that she would come.It would have benefited her to attend."

Good to see Palin give notices of acceptances and declines of speaking engagements now. These yes/no/maybe answers were making her look bad.

Also, Palin has confirmed she will be attending the financial seminar on Hong Kong on Sept 23rd.

The NFRW is nearly completely over run by Alinsky-bots.

As an example, at nearly every meeting some whiney
lady will stand up, (out of order), interrupt the
guest speaker, then ask a completely non related
question about her “concern” that tree roots are
a safety hazzard ... or some such other nonsense.

I had to get away from those people.

If you have questions about her, you can usually find the answers on her Facebook page. She is currently writing a book and living free.

She is also commanding the attention of millions of Americans, including the White House occupant.

Did I mention she is a private citizen, not responsible to anybody for anything, outside her family!

Have a nice day!

Not a good PR move. Somebody had better get a hold of her and advise her on the political facts of life.

You realized she just resigned a little over a month ago and is contemplating over 1,000 offers. Even after the resignation, she was still caught up in legal loose ends regarding her PAC and her ethics violations.

These organizations are disingenuously inviting Governor Palin and then gleefully proclaiming she's going to speak when she hasn't given any official confirmation. If you've been invited to a birthday party or wedding, does merely getting an invite means you're going to go? I'm sure when her book comes out or when the mid-terms get underway she will kick it in high gear. But if anyone deserves some R & R after being nearly destroyed by the media and Obama/Soros goons, it's her.

The GOP operatives in DC have only one use for Palin. They want to use Palin to get disgruntled conservatives to donate to them. Other than that, they wish Palin would go away.

The AK state president of this group lives in Wasilla. Apparently she had no pull with Palin.

Every No will be a snub or some kind of elitist remark by the MSM
in an attempt to create division in the (R) party.

They just don't know Conservatives that well.

All they want is her name there to draw money for Crist and the other rinos

Exactly. These blood suckers want to exploit Palin's fame and then pat her on the head and say "beat it kid" when it's over.

Not a good PR move. Somebody had better get a hold of her and advise her on the political facts of life. She seems to be getting bad press. It cannot be all the MSM.

When she's a President 4 years from now, NOBODY, including you will give a rat's behind about this organization or whether Sarah Palin spoke to them in 2009.

My fingers are crossed, but I got a gut feeling she's going to attend the D.C. March. If she gives the equivalent of King's "I have a dream" speech, it's over for Obama.

I agree. Sometimes organizations invite and believe that means the speaker will be there. The groups just get ahead of themselves on occasion.

If money is want they want, then perhaps they should ask Mitt Romney to cut a check for them.

"It would have benefited her to attend." "

With a mindset like that, I see why she did not.

Palin does not seem to be the type that only goes where it benefits her politically

You could be right about that Crist support thing. No conservative will have anything to do with him and no matter how much money he raises will erase that image of him hugging Obama to thank him for the stimulus (or stimulation...who knows?)

Sarah is wise to stay away from big R Republican groups. She knows darned well that a large part of the country is just as disgusted with Martinez, Crist, Snow, and their ilk as they are with Reid, Pelosi, and Waters.

I attended my local Rep club meeting tonight and we are quite open about our own disgust with the party. We will not support Crist if he is the nominee. Even though we worked hard for McCain last fall, we now want him to shut up and go home. Sarah knows this and the Lord is leading her in what she should hold dear and what she should treat like a big ole steaming pile of doggie doo.

.perhaps they support Crist

When I read the article and it said Crist will be a speaker, I thought I wouldn't go either!!

It would have benefited her to attend.

That made me laugh! They say she 'snubbed' - I say they are 'snobs' with that statement. I never heard about them before - surely, if they voiced their objection to the libs trashing Sarah, I would know who they are.

We just KNOW Crist wants her there! A few pictures for his campaign. I say death to his campaign - the same that he wanted for Terri.

"It would have benefited her to attend."

Bzzzzz! Wrong answer! It would have benefitted THEM for her to attend. Sarah does not need them. What can they do for her? What have they done for her? Nothing, that's what.

Sarah is a force to be reckoned with, on both sides of the aisle. But nobody wants to admit it--they think that if they do, Sarah will be more powerful than she already is. Not possible.

Heh. A buncha RINOs feels slighted. Whine, whine.
