President Obamas Address to Students Across America September 8, 2009 PreK-6 Menu of Classroom Activities: President Obamas Address to Students Across America Produced by Teaching Ambassador Fellows, U.S. Department of Education September 8, 2009
Before the Speech: Teachers can build background knowledge about the President of the United States and his speech by reading books about presidents and Barack Obama and motivate students by asking the following questions: Who is the President of the United States? What do you think it takes to be President? To whom do you think the President is going to be speaking? Why do you think he wants to speak to you? What do you think he will say to you? Teachers can ask students to imagine being the President delivering a speech to all of the students in the United States. What would you tell students? What can students do to help in our schools? Teachers can chart ideas about what they would say. Why is it important that we listen to the President and other elected officials, like the mayor, senators, members of congress, or the governor? Why is what they say important? During the Speech: As the President speaks, teachers can ask students to write down key ideas or phrases that are important or personally meaningful. Students could use a note-taking graphic organizer such as a Cluster Web, or students could record their thoughts on sticky notes. Younger children can draw pictures and write as appropriate. As students listen to the speech, they could think about the following: What is the President trying to tell me? What is the President asking me to do?
Students can record important parts of the speech where the President is asking them to do something. Students might think about:

The comments on that are a scream. All Hail, Dear Leader.
Why do you think he wants to speak to you?
(Because you are gullible children)
9/8 2009
Doesn’t have the same ring to it as 9/11 but 989 might.
Though with Obama and his Islamic background “My pet goat” takes on a meaning that may not be appropriate for all ages.
Brainwashing. Or, as we use to call it in the military, “mental hygiene”.
What can students do to help in our schools?
(Get an education, to quit wasting the taxpayers investment on Liberal Socialist Endoctrination)

"Hello little comrades. My name is Barack. Do you know how to spell Barack? It's spelled B, a, r, a, c, phlegm..."
What is he going to speak about? Ask kids to turn in their parents if they are anti Obama-care? Pre-announce the forced relocation of resisters to FEMA camps? Bank holiday? Curiouser and curiouser.
Why is it important that we listen to the President and other elected officials, like the mayor, senators, members of congress, or the governor?
(Because they are Democrats?)
Why is what they say important?
(Because they are Democrats?)
The creepiest part was the advice to have the kids write a letter to themselves about what they can do to help the president, and then hold them accountable later. If I had a kid in this age group I’d pull him or her from class during Dear Leader’s propaganda message. This is sick.
The DNC should pay the School Districts for the time spent on this campaign stop. Absolute waste of taxpayers money.
What is the President trying to tell me?
What is the President asking me to do?
(Why has the President financially enslaved me to a massive Government bureaucracy if I become a productive citizen?)
Yes, just ask the students... "Just who is this president, anyways??... Where did he come from, where was he born, does he have any records of his life? Do you need a birth certificate to become president, and should you have to show it?
Yeah, that just might be a good idea!
Until next time, this is your Dear Leader, Barack Hussein Obama.
It looked rather benign until it got to this part:
“Why is it important that we listen to the President and other elected officials, like the mayor, senators, members of congress, or the governor? Why is what they say important?”
Nothing they say is important. It’s all lies (most of the time), especially with this president. I’m going to make sure my son doesn’t take this too seriously.

I'm permanently stuck in the campaign mode because it's the only thing an experienced community organizer such as myself knows how to do!
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My guess is he wants to suck in some screwelchildren for service in the “Civilian Defense Corp”.
School doesn’t begin for us until 9/10....woohoo
The part about having students write a letter to themselves and hold themselves accountable is a tried and true reinforcement/mind control method. In a sense its how I quit drinking but its wrong to use it on unknowing children.
