A Nashville, TN man used his gun to fend off two robbers who broke into his home Saturday night.
Police say that two robbers broke in to the man's home on Lindy Murff Ct. The homeowner grabbed his self defense gun and shot one of the home invaders in the chest. Both criminals then fled to a nearby gas station, and tried to claim that they were themselves the victims of a robbery. The wounded criminal was taken to a local hospital, and is expected to survive and face charges. The unwounded criminal has been arrested. The homeowner was unharmed.
Once again, we have a situation where violent criminals decided to break into the home of an innocent person, because they cared more about making an easy dollar than the safety and wellbeing of the home owner. Luckily, this man had a self defense gun, and was able to use it to put an end to the home invasion, saving himself from the deadly threat these two criminals posed. Nashville also owes this home invader a debt of gratitude, since he has ensured that two home invading criminals will be prosecuted and taken off the streets.
In HopeyChangey ObamaLand, that homeowner would be pushing up the daisies and the two criminals would get Congressional Medal of Freedom awards for being “patriots”.
What the hell is a “self defense gun” ???
A gun is a gun- used for coyotes- self-defense — or hunting for meat for the table.
In all my years- 69- I have never heard of a “self-defense gun” !!

If two thugs break into my house, I'm sure to rob them. (of their last breath)
Goody, I’m in the same zip as this crime.
That's like an 'emergency fire extinguisher'. Like maybe you have another fire extinguisher you keep around for fun.
Any and all of my guns are 'self defense' guns, though some are better suited for the task than others.
I wonder if Gramps had a .22 pistol. People always say “oh a .22 is to weak to stop anything.” It seems like in the NRA magazine column about self defense - there is almost always a story about a senior with a break in robber. The senior usually has a .22 and the crminal almost always takes a dirt nap.
Damn, expected to survive. To live to rob another day.
I have my self defense guns. I also have my house guns, the car gun and the soon to be computer gun. They are separate from the accumulation I have made over the years. I forgot I also have my carry gun which is on my profile page. I had a designated IDPA gun but I’m using 9MM now because of the ammo prices.
In public, I refer to guns as toys. As in, I brought one of the toys out of the toybox this weekend. Those are the gun guns. I have my Match AR as opposed to the “other” AR. I also have my Match Garand instead of the others. I have to call them something. I thought of names but the others became jealous. When my son lived with me, he knew who I was talking about when I mentioned I took Thumper to the range.
As opposed to an assault weapon, which we use to ATTACK. < /sarc >
You mean... you don't? I like to hide in the bushes before the wife gets home and jump out as she's unlocking the door and pelt her with foam. It's a blast, plus she'd be pissed if I used the paintball gun again. That didn't end well, and the ER nurse couldn't figure out why my... well, that's another story for another time.

A “Self defense gun”?
I like the term Potential Energy Converter (PEC) or Kinetic Energy Dissapator (KED).
Ironically, the perp could be termed, the Energy Transfer Medium (ETM).
Self Defense Gun just sounds so generic.
:o)
There was a recent story of a guy in Sacramento who had 3 thugs confront him in the hall of his apartment building. He was able to get inside his apartment but they broke in so retrieved his handgun and leveled 2 of them and wounded the other. He was exonerated because it was witnessed by neighbors so the DA ruled it was justifiable...
A “self-defense gun” is designed to be capable of only shooting felons attacking its owner. If you try to commit robbery with it it will melt in your hand.
With a .22 one needs be more accurate than when using a 12 gauge. Robert Kennedy was killed with a .22 short, just a little pop.
