Bad fellows, bedfellows: British boss let himself be seduced by Libyan loon into freeing terrorist Editorials

Gordon Brown meets with Moammar Khadafy at the G8 Summit in July.

Here is an elegant solution to the quandary over where to house Libyan strongman Moammar Khadafy when he visits the United Nations this month: Quarter him with British Prime Minister Gordon Brown. Why not? They're already in bed.

Theirs has been a discreet relationship, conducted in private and lubricated by oil, an affair of convenience between a madman with blood on his hands, and a craven hypocrite with a price tag.

Such are the charitable conclusions to be drawn from the revelation that the British government in 2007 bent to a Khadafy demand and removed what would have been a huge obstacle to the release last month of Abdelbaset al-Megrahi, the Libyan spy convicted of blowing Pan Am Flight 103 out of the air over Scotland.

Plump the pillows: Britain drops a plan to exclude Megrahi from potential prisoner transfer agreements between England and Libya.

Pull up the sheets: Stalled negotiations between BP and Libya become, well, unstalled.

Check, please: A contract worth $24 billion.

....there’s no doubt they would have released him without Obama’s approval....no doubt what-so-ever.

Whether obama gave direct approval or not, we knew it was in the works......and NO ONE in our gov’t said a damn word to stop it.

Gordon Brown is the best thing to ever happen to the hapless Conservative Party. The longer Brown puts off a new election, the worse Labour is going to get whacked. And he will put them off because his EGO is huge.

Why was our very own lord McCain in Libya mid-August 2009 talking ‘oil’ deals with Colonel Q? And our very own lord McCain was NOT concerned with a terrorist getting freedom.

Something is ‘fishy’ and it is not allll on the British boss.
