Newsmax ^ | August 31, 2009 | Dan Weil

Elected Democrats, suffering from plummeting approval ratings in polls and rowdy town hall meetings over healthcare in recent weeks, may endure double-digit House seat losses in 2010. Republicans might not win the 40 slots needed to give them a majority, but they could come close.

Wait till they start to push through some of their totalitarian measures on the people and watch those numbers double or triple.

Even if Pubs don’t get into the majority since people (including me) are sick of most elected officials, it may be Libertarian’s turn for an uptick. That may force RINOs to act more like Republicans in order to get anything done.

Did they poll the dead? In Chicago that’s an important demographic group because they vote 100% Democratic ticket.

The TITANIC is sinking and we have a lifeboat side seat. The problem is that WE ARE IN THE %)&^($*^&( LIFEBOAT instead of on shore.

We've got 14 months to go, which is an eternity in politics. These rats can't help themselves. The only thing they know how to do is spend money that they don't have or embarrass this fine country across the globe with their endless apologies. Unemployment is through the roof with no end in sight and will play a large role in the next election cycle. We still have this health care fiasco to deal with along with crap and tax. Another issue that will be huge come next year will be the expiration of the Bush tax cuts. If these assclowns allow those cuts to expire on the middle class they're toast. Overall, I would say a very favorable situation for any opposition party that has the stones to come out fighting.

Do not worry the RINOS will rescue the Democrats. Dole and Ridge are just the start of undermining the Conservatives.

Agreed with your list above.

Also, Zer0 promised about three weeks ago in Mexico that Amnesty legislation for our illegal alien peasants is now being written on Capitol Hill, and that the only people preventing “a pathway to citizenship” are “the demagogues.” (literal quote)

He promised unleash his Amnesty assault on the American people some time in 2010, no doubt with the complicity of scumballs like Pansy Graham and McQueeg.

There is no doubt in my mind that the current “health care reform” is 100 percent about getting those 25 million++ illegal alien peasants on to the public dole, and to **steal** the health care of American citizen taxpayers in order to “spread the wealth around” to them, whether they are illegals or Z Visa recipients or whatever.

These 25 million++ illegals are a HUGE drain on America’s very generous social services networks, and someone has to pay their bills.

A Look Back: The framers originally believed over 50% of Congressional seats would turn over every election. That was the experience at the time with state legislative bodies. Early on, turnover was as high as 50%, but steadily declined until turnover went into single digits in the 1920’s and has stayed there since.

Editorial: A consequence of gerrymandering and the two party system controlling campaign money, IMO. Thoughts?

In 1994, we had the largest turnover of legislative seats since the Civil War. Due in part to large Republican turnout, but also due to amazingly low Democrat turnout. Total turnout was something like 15%. I believe it was also the only time in history a Speaker of the House lost re-election.

I think we will see the same thing in 2010. Die hard lefties will stay home because they will be disappointed that Obama has not been made dictator yet. The right and middle are going to pour out in droves to stop the socialist advance. Doubt we see a repeat of the Speaker going down, but I believe we will see the Senate Majority Leader defeated.

“Did they poll the dead?”

That, and using ACORN for the census, and other Kennedy-like sleeze will give them permanent rule should we allow it.

Of course, that’ll be the tipping point.

Things most definitely will happen.

Mr. Steele did a commercian on CNBC pushing a senior bill of rights.

1. You had no image whatsoever he was a republican.

2. he sounded like a fake used car salesman.

3. he looked like a contract with america wanabe gingrich.

4. he came across as weak and might easily be taken for a democrat.

poor imagry, poor message, and failure to motivate.

Mr. Steele a stupid leader for a stupid party.

This forecast will lead to complacency among conservatives and resolve among Democrats, which is probably the point. We don’t want either. I’d rather the Democrats think they have it in the bag and continue to push their far left agenda.
