Sen. Mel Martinez will hold a health care forum tomorrow in Hialeah with Sen. John McCain and Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell.
This is going to be a frank discussion with health care providers, patients, and other stakeholders to air concerns about the current system and what steps Congress should take to address the problems," the retiring Martinez said in a statement.

Just when you thought it couldn’t get any more pathetic....
You’re a quitter, Mel, so what makes you think we care what you have to say?
i suggest we flood mc cain with calls letting him know we dont want a deal
McCain didn’t talk about it much in the 2008 campaign, but his health-care proposals were pretty standard free-market fare, e.g., Tort Reform, allowing individuals to buy insurance across State lines, etc. So I wouldn’t knock McCain on this issue.
Typical lack of any leadership in the GOP.
More like Puke event.
Funny how there was no “health care forum” when the Republicans were in power.
If you sell us out to get some temporarily flattering ink in the NYT, you will be fulfilling a prediction of Arlenesque behavior by many of us TRUE "footsoldiers in the Reagan Revolution."
Surprise us by showing courage and standing your (our) ground on socialized medicine.
.
hey who think martinez is about to be appointed some czar in obama’s administration?
Who would even want to go hear these two duds?
I thought Mitch McConnel was better than this. McCain and Martinez are RINO scum.
I still can’t believe what a sickening love-fest Sean Hannity had with Juan McLame on his show last week. My respect for Sean fell quite a bit from that.
Hannity is a RINO/RNC tool.
I have no respect for him.
stakeholders
Buzz word of the week.
Does not include me.
BUMP for no respect for Hannity.
IMHO, he has pretty much ruined a good thing.
Way too much self promotion. Way too much fence sitting.
Well that’s just great, since the issue was handled so smartly during the election. /s
“McCain didnt talk about it much in the 2008 campaign, but his health-care proposals were pretty standard free-market fare, e.g., Tort Reform, allowing individuals to buy insurance across State lines, etc. So I wouldnt knock McCain on this issue.”
And IIRC, that was put up only after polls and commentaries began to show crossovers because even Republicans were fed up with trying to pay for health care. Had the GOP had this idea earlier, formed it well and then sold it, things might have been different (not that I’m bitter or anything!).
Where were you last fall? It's one think to be an RNC hack. but its another to be an RNC hack and claim you are a conservative first.
Check out phony Hannity talking points contradict one another: Sept 10, 2008 before crash: Clip of Hannity asserting nothing is wrong with the economy at #61to help McCain and
Clip of Hannity Sept 30,2008 after crash claiming republicans in 2004 warned that economy would crash at #67(so Hannity knew economy would crash???) .again to help McCain
