President Barack Obama's job approval rating is down to 42%, with a decline in approval from Democrats the leading factor.
The latest Zogby Interactive poll of 4,518 likely voters conducted from August 28-31 found 48% disapprove and 42% approve of the job Obama is doing. The poll found 75% of Democrats approve of Obama's performance, a drop of 13 points among Democrats from an interactive poll done July 21-24 of this year. That same poll found 48% of all likely voters approving of Obama's job performance, and 49% disapproving.

In the time between the two aforementioned polls, Zogby conducted a similar interactive survey from Aug. 18-20. That poll found 45% of all likely voters approving of Obama's job performance and 51% disapproving. So Obama is up very slightly overall from 10 days earlier.

That's exactly what he, and several democRATS have been doing with their so-called "town hall" meetings. Many of them are a farce, rooms filled with ACORN and SEIU thugs and a handful of 'normal' people. The thugs intimidate the regular citizens as much as they can. (for the most part, it isn't working).

Like many Freepers here we know people from all career paths, ask yourself do I have anyone in my social circles in the Mental Health Arena? Get them aside and see if they will give you their observations of the anointed one. IMHO (and I am not in that business) This guy is a Narcissist, (potentially other things as well) and when they mentally crash I am told it ain't pretty. That begs the question will he finish his term or will he be asked to resign because his mental health becomes questionable, and will he will unfit to govern.

In a free society there is a threshold that Obama could pass in his disapproval number that after reaching that level even the MSM would not be able to salvage his presidency.
However, if ACORN rigs the vote or Obama declares martial law and declares a police state and elections are not held then all bets are off.
Again Sarah Palin is not Dan Quayle. Given a fair contest and Obama’s declining fortunes, Sarah has a chance. But I will agree if Obama is able to resurrect himself and get up again to 55% approval (Rasmussen)Sarah’s chances to beat the Messiah are doubtful.
I guess what I am saying it is not so much what Sarah does but what Obama is able to accomplish in the next 3 and 1/2 years.
