I had this same argument with DainBramage a few weeks ago. He seems to have a lot more facts about this than the rest of us. I’ve only read a book and everything else I’ve ever seen about it, so I guess I’m pretty ignorant. He seems to believe that Weaver was cutting barrels for a living. I’ve never heard that. I agree with you on the shootout thing. Weaver never even fired a shot. Hell of way to conduct a shootout. The only sympathy I have for Weaver, though, is that all he wanted was to be left alone. I can seriously relate to that.

Weaver met a government informant at an Aryan Nations gathering where he told the informant he was having trouble making ends meet. The informant told him he was making money selling weapons. Weaver told him he would like to do some for 100 dollars a piece. After doing a couple for the informant he told him he could do 5 or so a week.

No entrapment here, Randy just wanted to make money and didnt care how. He was an idiot and celebrating him or Ruby Ridge in anyway is rediculous.

DainBramage is full of crap. The information he has is crap. He felt the need to FReep-mail me and try to convince me he knows more than everyone else.

Why would anyone pay someone else to cut off shotgun barrels to a legal length (DB's contention) for $100 each? You can buy a hacksaw blade for your sawzall for about $6 and cut off ten or more before you ruin the blade. Legally.

In fact, why would you pay someone $100 to cut one down to a less than legal length? Anyone can cut off a shotgun barrel with a hacksaw, a sawzall, a chop saw w/carborundum blade or steel cutting blade. There is nothing special about it. With a good eye and a steady hand you can do a very nice job of it. It's not a gunsmithing level job. It's an 'average-construction-laborer-been-on-the-job-one-day' job.
