Personally, I don't like the poster anymore than I do the ones with Hitlers mustache that the Larouche people have been bringing to these events. But the guy with the poster was outside the event, not inside the building where it may have been inappropriate. Larouche people showed up to the town hall I went to, and they were told to keep their provocative posters outside. That is a better approach than the way this security guard handled it.

For my posters I'm taking the Reagan approach. I know the conservatives in America are against Obamacare, and out of control spending in Washington. I don't have to convince them. Its the 50% of Democrat voters who are not hard-core leftist, but just uninformed people. Good people that get all there education about whats going on in the world from 30 minutes of evening news.

My poster slogans go out to them. Such as;

I Am Not Your ATM

You Can’t Multiply Wealth by Dividing It

Obamacare needs end of life counseling!

And taking a page out of Reagan vs Carter, here is my favorite slogan:

4 Trillion Dollars Ago?

That being said, The security guard (not a Police Officer) went way over the line by giving his political commentary saying its not American no more, and with him saying the law is what he makes it. His office deserves to get angry calls.

The protester with the sign complied, after questioning the rent-a-cop's reasons. And now we are dealing with the cop's abuse of authority after the fact, in the court of public opinion.

You mean "more aptly". In any event, where a public employee has violated proper behavior, it is a long-standing procedure to use public pressure upon the elected officials that he ultimately reports to, to ensure that the problem is addressed.

I agree. But, the officials could say it was a reasonable discretionary call by the cop, given his perception of the situation. You can't have laws to address every nuance.

When I first saw that cartoon I was disgusted, It throws us off message. Now a cartoon with Obama, in Kenyan dress, squatting an a globe would make more sense to me. That message would be he's manipulating to dominate and socialize the world under his questionable cultural background.

The 'joker' just doesn't do it for me. It attacks his character rather than his intentions.

You're in a minority opinion. The ObamaJoker meme is a hit, and by the reaction of Obama's minions, it strikes a nerve with them, which means it's effective. And I don't find it disgusting -- it portrays Obama as a psychopath bent on power.

What's illegal about character attacks? You may not like it; It may not be classy; But the first amendment protects that guy's right to do it. The supreme court has even affirmed the right to attack the character of a public figure.
