Sorry, what’s come out repeatedly is that her same staff was leading these groups on to think that she was going to try to appear. Whether or not they should have run with it in their promotions, it was a PR blunder to give them that encouragement and opening.

Now she finds out that an overeager supporter will bill her as though she actually said she’d be there. Kind of like she never saw getting personally socked in the head through the ethics complaint loophole she shepherded into Alaska law. They’re understandable oversights. I just hope and pray there aren’t any more because this is hostile media kibble supreme.

Sorry, what’s come out repeatedly is that her same staff was leading these groups on to think that she was going to try to appear.

As repeatedly stated to several in the media over the last week, former Governor Sarah Palin is not committed to attend the Simi Valley Republican Women’s event at the Reagan Library and in fact is not attending the event. Neither the Governor’s state staff nor SarahPAC has ever committed to attending this event or speaking at this event, and even requested that the Governor's name be removed from the invitation several weeks ago. The Governor has other work and commitments to take care of at that time. She looks forward to visiting her friends in California soon.

All event requests must be confirmed with Meghan Stapleton of SarahPAC. Additionally, all invitations bearing the Governor’s name must be approved by her attorney before proceeding.

Thank you.
Meghan Stapleton

I believe Meg Stapleton's statement, on behalf of Sarah Palin, is factual and that event organizers have found that using Sarah Palin's name is a good way to sell tickets.

But, I do agree that it will not be a problem, as long as her attorney puts a stop to it.
