Gordon Brown was dragged into the centre of the row over the early release of the Lockerbie bomber last night after it emerged that a key decision that could have paved the way for the terrorist to serve his sentence in Libya was approved by Downing Street.
A source close to Jack Straw told The Times that the move to include Abdul Baset Ali al-Megrahi in a prisoner transfer agreement in 2007 was a government decision and was not made at the sole discretion of the Justice Secretary. It wasnt just Jack who decided this. It was a Government decision. Jack did not act unilaterally.
The row over the early release of the Lockerbie bomber ten days ago shows no sign of abating after the Ministry of Justice indicated yesterday that the decision to include al-Megrahi in a prisoner transfer agreement had been made with the possibility of trade deals with Libya in mind.
The negotiations over a prisoner transfer agreement were part of a wider agreement for the normalisation of relations with Libya as part of bringing them into the international community, he said.

Abdelbaset al-Megrahi was used as a tool to secure a deal with Libya for oil. How foolish. A bomber for oil? They're making a mockery of the Pan Am Flight 103 victims.
The Labor Party is toast huh?
Terrorists for Oil.
yitbos
Labor was already pretty unpopular before this mess. They might have just given over the next election to the Conservative Party.
The blood of 270 innocents for OIL.
Nice going once-Great Britain.
This is what fascist governments do, make immoral deals that benefit the state and the corrupt business (UK government and BP). In this case, they did this with the full knowledge and consent of another fascist government: the Obama Regime.

With friends like these..........
Fascism exalts the nations above the common peoples.
Obama exalts the terrorists above the common peoples.
Fascism in a nutshell: Big government pulls the strings on the corporations, exacting potbellied profits. $$$$$$$$$$$$$.
No wonder they call it Downing Street.
Great Britain is now a state sponsor of terrorism.
Absolutely disgusting that GB values terrorist rights over victims rights
This is abhorrent. Did UK somehow think he’d be put in a cell in Tripoli? They bought that?
Muslims are a major voting group and growing in the UK.
I understand their motives, but I don’t know whether they did it with Obama’s approval or if they just didn’t care about the president’s objections after all the disrespect that he’s given the UK.
Who’s next on the state sponsor of terrorism list?
In case you didn’t know, terrorism is used as a tool to advance the new world order agenda.
The Labor party is OUT in the next elections, just as the Brits have finally begun to wake up, so, hopefully, will the US, and vote Dems OUT in our next election. The Democrat party here is the mirror of the Labor party there, just a few years behind.
my fingers and toes will be crossed
Here’s how I imagine that this went down.....
Brown: We need to make a deal for oil with Libya but Magrahi has to be on the table. They won’t even talk to us if he isn’t.
MacAskill: I can release him to Libya under the compassion rule. We can report that he’s dying of cancer and will be dead in 3 mos.
Obama: Go ahead and make your deal. After Magrahi’s released we’ll feign disgust and anger for the sheeple’s consumption. MacAskill, you’ll have to take some serious heat for a couple of weeks but it’ll blow over and everybody will find something new to be furious about.
Ha! And these guys are LI-BER-ALS! Ain’t hypocrisy great? Yeah! They LOVE them some OIL. Bastards.
Great Britain is now a state sponsor of terrorism.

So does the US....under Obama...that is. I dread the day when we ARE struck again...and he won’t do a damned thing to prevent it...nor a damned thing about it.
