Obama has argued that elected presidents have a right to continue ruling even if they violate their country’s constitution, and his assistant secretary of state argued that presidents should not be removed without elaborate “judicial process” (an argument at odds with our own Constitution’s provision for legislative impeachment, and Honduras’s constitutional provision automatically stripping presidents of their office if they even propose changes to constitutional term limits).
Dictators have no friends; only sacrifices.

Zelaya was scheduled to leave office in two months, but had tried to change the constitution to make himself dictator for life. I get the feeling that Obama wants to do the same thing here.
I really don’t understand why the Republicans aren’t screaming loud and clear on this one. Obama’s shown his true colors for months here, trying to bully Honduras into a satellite of Cuba, Venezuela and all things Marxist.
Why, oh why, aren’t they forcing this issue?
