If the person in question has the means, he should be contacting an attorney to find out how to push this. I suspect, but don’t know, that he can sue the county and Cheeks personally (who hopefully would be covered by the county’s attorneys — if not I wouldn’t bankrupt the guy). There is probably a process in place to file charges from the feds down too.

Why should the citizens of Fairfax County have to foot this idiot’s bill? Like Columbo(?) used to say “If you can do the crime, you can do the time.”
I really don’t see how you can sue him for expressing his opinion, but in the same vein he shouldn’t be using his ‘powers’ to enforce his personal agenda.
However, the people that hired him should reconsider if they want this guy ‘representing’ them when dealing with the public.
Then if he sues, let his union represent him and the taxpayers will “ONLY” have to pay for half of the trial etc.
