Every Totalitarian takeover in history has managed to circumvent the truth. All they need to do is use Media Propaganda to create their own “truth”. Say it long enough and loud enough, the population will eventually accept it as “truth”. (Goebbels was living proof of that, as was Stalin's Pravda.)
