What Is President Obama Really Trying To Do? (The author has to ask?)

What are Barack Obama’s objectives? What is he really trying to accomplish, as our President?

Our current Commander-In-Chief won the presidency last year with very broad, generalized campaign themes of “hope,” “change,” and to a lesser degree, “transformation. ” He promised a foreign policy that would correct all the “mistakes” of George W. Bush, and an economic policy that would take wealth away from “rich” people and give it to people who were “deserving” of it.

Today, after roughly eight months in office, nobody doubts that President Obama has brought about a dramatic level of ”change.” But what is the purpose of Obama’s “change,” where is it leading, and what is all this “change” supposed to produce for the United States?

Despite philosophical and policy differences, most U.S. Presidents (certainly those of of recent history) have been, in their own ways, beholden to an agenda of keeping America safe and prosperous. But today I wonder if anyone believes that our President’s current agenda actually enhances safety and prosperity, or if, perhaps, some other agenda is being advanced.

In terms of foreign policy and national security, President Obama campaigned on, among other things, a promise to repair relationships between the U.S. and the rest of the world, relationships that he claimed President Bush had horribly damaged. Seven days after his inauguration – and before making any sort of televised address to the American people – President Obama made a regionally televised address to the “Muslim World” in the Middle East, to “reassure” Muslims that “Americans are not your enemy.”

Since then, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has scoffed at our President, publicly calling him “naïve,” and challenging Obama to a “debate.” A poll released last week indicates that, now, a mere 4% of Jews in the nation of Israel (our nation’s greatest ally and the most stable nation in the Middle East) believe that our President is “pro-Israel,” while a majority of Israelis oppose Obama’s demand for a a temporary freeze of Jewish settlements in the West Bank. And despite President Obama’s “demand” that Abdelbeset Ali Mohmed al Megrahi, the terorrist convicted of the 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103, be held under house arrest in his home of Libya after being released from a Scottland prison last week, the very Muslim Libyan leader Moammar Gadhafi nonetheless provided a celebratory hero’s welcome to al Megrahi, and allowed him his freedom.

President Obama has unnerved the Jewish world, and appears to have emboldened the terrorist world. This does not provide a pathway to safety and prosperity for the United States.

In terms of his economic policy, President Obama is perhaps even more perplexing. As a candidate he expressed all-out disdain for American corporations and repeatedly promised to increase corporate taxes and regulations, expressed anger and “outrage” when corporations reported profits that were too big, and promised to “give back” corporate profits to “the American people.” At the same time, Obama was fond of reminding America that one of his chief economic advisors was investment and wealth creation guru Warren Buffett .

Today, Buffett stops short of admitting that his friend Barack has made any mistakes, but nonetheless admits that the so-called “economic stimulus bill” entailed tremendous waste, that the level of our national debt is staggeringly dangerous, and that the economy is in far worse condition than most people realize. And while I have been anticipating that, eventually, we would see an emergence in the press of the idea that President Obama is “in over his head with the economy,” I didn’t figure this would happen until after the 2010 elections . Only 3 months ago it seemed that President Obama could, politically speaking, continue for the foreseeable future to blame economic troubles on George W. Bush.

But reality has emerged in the media much sooner than I had predicted. Economic news outlets such as CNBC, Bloomberg, and Financial Times have raised concerns over the dangerous levels of deficit spending, while thoughtful writers like Fred Barnes and John Stossel have carefully analyzed the President’s own remarks about economics, and his behavior in office, and have concluded that Obama doesn’t know how the economy works.

But does President Obama simply not “get it” on economics, or is there another issue in play? Certainly the President has an agenda of re-distributing wealth, taking away from “rich people” and giving to those who he believes are deserving. But his policies reach beyond mere wealh re-distribution, and if current policy trends continue, there will simply be less wealth in the United States that can be re-distributed.

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to argue that President Obama is seeking to advance American peace and prosperity – this is so, at least in terms of how “peace” and “prosperity” have customarily been defined. Does President Obama have his own definitions for these terms? And how might his agenda of “transformation” entail something entirely different from anything America has known before?

He is not my President but I will tell you what he is trying [going] to do.

He is trying, actually he is succeeding, to totally and completely destroy the institutions that make the United States run and operate.

He is, aided and abetted by the Democrat Party and news organizations, setting himself up to be a dictator. His cronies, the Democrat Party and news organizations are gleefully assisting him in this endevor, hoping for a piece of the action. They are in for a rude awakening because as he increases and consolidates his power they will be eased out and replaced with Black Liberationists and muslims. To illustrte: During the campaign, he promised the elderly free “health care” and that they would pay no taxes among other things if they would vote for him. The “experts” state that the elder overwhelming voted for him. He was elected.

Now they learn that obama care will, over a period of a frw short years, completely elininate [kill] them along with those who happen to be born with medical deficts. Not only that but obama care will progressively take more of their living expenses form their Social Security ckecks. To ice the cake, they will get no more COLAs, In fact, starting in 2010 there will be a decreases as the cost of their Medicare will increase and will continue ri dramatically increase each year.

But they voted for change and they will get a bellyfull of change before it is over. They will learn the hard way that change is not nearly as nourshing as food.

Soon the seeds that they so gleehully and joyfully sowed Novermber 4 ,2008 will mature and be ready for harvest. For them, the harvest will be bitter... and fatal.

“How do we communicate and form a cohesive defense and/or offense against a total take over by the government commies. Trying to fend of the enemy without communication would be impossible”

I for one think this is the primary area of focus. How to communicate when the government controls all communications? As I have said before - back when the original revolution took place everyone was on an equal footing communications wise - horse and rider.

But does President Obama simply not “get it” on economics?

Someone else wrote recently that the Oval is being micromanaged by three people, and that it is much worse than it has ever been before, even under Carter.

Carter made a series of serious errors by micromanaging, including some very high profile ones.

Obama is screwing up nearly everything on Domestic policy, and continuing most Bush era stuff internationally. Even internationally, players know this President is weak, disoriented and inexperienced. International outreach is being rebuffed or ignored.

The errors so far are eroding US financial stability and security but these errors will not be obvious to the masses and the adoring MSM until something hits the fan. It is inevitable that this will happen. I expect many political players around the world and in DC know this.

any reference to fascism is erroneous and a misdirection. Fascism - where private enterprise still exists but under nominal government control - is a far easier sell to the gullible than the actual objective of Utopian communism - where ownership of private property is illegal and the government owns all enterprises.

As you might notice looking out at the state of government is the rest of the world - fascist governments no longer exist, only communist ones remain. Hussein & Co are not trying to recreate the failed fascist states of yore, but the communist ones of yore or something similar which they firmly believe are the future of governments if only done correctly. Their hubris is to believe they are the ones to achieve this "great victory".

President Obama is trying to destroy the US. He is doing this by using people who may not share his agenda but are strong proponents of tactics that he can use to further his agenda.

Consider the stimulus bill. Like the famous Cloward-Piven strategy aimed to destroy the US through over-extending the NY welfare system in the 1960s, Obama is trying to bankrupt the country. Yet his method of getting this bill passed was to co-opt socialist-leaning representatives and tell them to write whatever programs they wished into the law and he would sign it. As a result it became the bloated and ineffective behemoth he wanted. This was not a failure; it was, simply, a means to get the congress to authorize spending more money that this nation could possibly have. The distinction is that some socialists love the US, whereas Obama wants to use their energy to destroy it.

Similarly, cap and trade uses the do-gooders’ dogmatic belief in man-made global warming as a tactic to push through taxes that would put unbearable pressure on what remains of our manufacturing base. Through the group that believes that the US healthcare system needs reform, he is trying to push through a system of control that would stifle dissent and free will. Through Democrat outrage at Guantanamo and through the Henry Gates episode he is destroying the will and ability of our military and police to be vigilant and protect us.

In essence, Obama is a liar. He never gives his true reason for anything he does. He wears a mask of normality and shared American values (he flies to NY for date night and sees Broadway shows) while destroying our nation. He embraces people with mainstream American career paths, like Tim Geithner, Jeffrey Immelt and Kathleen Sebelius, yet somehow he knew that they would march with him as he tears apart the fabric of our American system.

The mask is slipping and people are waking up to the realization that he is not what he pretends to be. The questions are, first, will Americans wake up fast enough (I have come to believe that the answer is yes) and how will he and his cohort react when they see their dream of destroying America fading after they have come so close? The answer to the second question largely depends on how much power he has amassed into the executive branch when it happens. Will it be after he has asserted control over the internet? Will it be after he has obtained the ability to control our healthcare? Will it be after he has received authorization to convert ACORN into his civilian security force?

Timing is everything.

“real debt structure of American which at minimum is projected to $9 trillion dollars but probably more like $26 trillion or even more depending on how far entitlements run out of control, how weak the dollar gets, how poorly we do trying to borrow money from other countries.”

To elaborate - at some point no one - especially China - will buy our bonds which means that interest rates will go through the roof to attract buyers. However, who will buy a bond at any rate from a country which has a debt rate which can never be paid off?

The only way out is to print more money - lots and lots of it - wwhich will create hyperinflation, and the money printed will have to have many zeros - the Hussein $1,000,00 bill will be a common denomination.

But since only a few have the money to convert, most will be left penniless and unable to buy even a loaf of bread, if such a thing can be found.

This whole situation will be vastly aggravated when the current bonds become redeemable forcing the US to borrow still more money to pay them off, increasing whatever the deficit is to a much larger number. Then there are all the social programs which will need still more money to keep solvent, forcing still more money to be borrowed ad nauseum.

This is the heart of how Hussein will destroy our country.

Internally, the US will revert to a barter system until the currency stabilizes some decades later.

Personally, I believe that “O” and friends see the communist nations and empires of the past and today as successes.

Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea,...etc...are, to them, successes. That is the power they want for **themselves**. They don’t give a twit about the people.

I don't know about the Antichrist part - see tenants of Islam for that - but 2 billion dead may be quite conservative; everyone who is not Islamic is up for destruction, Christians, Jews, Hindus, various and sundry cults and sects,

What part Hussein plays in all of that I cannot see, but no doubt something signifigant...

It doesn’t much matter whether she admits it, it matters whether she votes it.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

What matters is who counts the votes.

One of the things that absolutely ticks me off about the Republicans was their refusal to vigorously go after voting fraud.

I fear now that it is too late.

But in order to do that you have to have the military and the police on your side, they are not and never will be.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Except for a few brave souls, I don't see highly ranking military in court demanding that Obama prove he is natural born.

Oh!...And did you see that video of the policeman stating, “It ain't no moe!”

Sorry, I am not as optimistic as you are.

I don't doubt that the man despises this country. I'm sure he would give some sort of B.S. claim about how he "loves this country for what it could be."

I've seen comparisons to Hitler, etc., but here's the problem I have with that: Hitler wasn't blamed by the general population for the economic and societal chaos that preceded his rise to power. Plus, he was backed by thousands and thousands of combat veterans willing to crack heads to support him.

I don't know about the rest of you, but I do blame O for the on-rushing chaos and he isn't backed by thousands and thousands of angry combat veterans (I don't believe ACORN, etc. would last long in a serious SHTF situation). How does he plan to ride-out this certain storm? Is he stupid? Has he seriously misunderestimated the opposition he will certainly face?

On that cheerful note, let me add another - people over 65 with health concerns are NOT eligible for Pig Flu shots...

According to their value, so according to their worth - Dr. Death, who is currently calculating our relative health care cost as a person, figures the scale thus:

Infants =1
adolescents = 2
teenagers = 3
adults to 55 = 4
adults from 55 to 65 =1
adults over 65 = 0.

Enjoy!

I know what time it is. I did not vote for the bastard.

Ipatronoize a convenience store because me and the owner are friends. We both tried to warn people about obama before the election.

When I go in abd there is an old person at the counter, I say, “How do you like obama care now?”

Most of the time they hang their heads and say, real low,”I didn’t vote for that.”

When the leave, we shake our heads and say,”There is another one.”
