You are right, of course, but I thought their unhappiness was due to the fact that the women are a sad lot and the men are the homliest in America. I don’t think its outmigration that has lowered the population in Mass, I think it is the outcome of the mating of really ugly people.
Maybe inner ugliness eventually becomes outer. Rod Serling wrote a classic Twilight Zone about this ;-)
