This is what their YouTube channel says

“The Alarm & Muster project has always been concerned with the creation of a network of communication of likeminded men and women nationwide that would refuse the infringement of their freedoms. It is our unalienable right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and we will allow no man, no one, to infringe upon these. We are the children of 1775, if not by blood, then by spirit; and we extend our hand of welcome.”

They are legit. "Alarm and Muster" is kind of an advance warning system set up by some patriots down in Florida. I think it reaches across the country now. They are not a militia site and do not advocate any violent overthrow of the government, more of a liberty tree online.

Most of the notices that I get through them are focused on contacting my representatives for the liberty depriving bills that keep getting introduced.

I've been a member for a while. Used to hear from them--even got a phone call once when they were trying out the Liberty Tree calling system.

Yes they are legit and a good idea. Besides the “Call Tree” reminiscent of Paul Revere's ride they send out regular messages and patriotic snippets that I find educational and informational. The U.S. is broken down into areas and the rep for mine is very open, friendly and assessable. Very good organization and trip wire notification system.

They are good people. Think of a tea party group, concerned about the direction this country has been going lately, then throw in good fellowship, an occasional day at the shooting range and barbecue.

As far as the call tree goes, I used to be somewhat dubious about the usefulness of it, and what exactly we would do if we were called, but it makes more sense now that there is a bill to let the WH disable the internet during a "cyber emergency". Face it, if we lost the internet, what would we do? Watch the MSM for updates? Shortwave radio? The call tree might be useful after all.

I believe that Tom over reacted to some posts that were slightly inflammatory and P.O.’d a few folks. It is a good idea though. I also haven’t heard anything recently. Since I dropped off of all my shooting sites because of the Federal Trolls that were very active, I’ve been reluctant to sign in over there, if you know what I mean.

I am on the call tree, yes. We had a great get-together a few months ago in north Georgia, with a range day followed by a succulent food fest. There were lots of interesting stories told, mostly from ex-military guys, and some from other countries. We all agree that this country is worth saving. In its current form.

Very true, but having been a commercial fisherman, the plan is always to harvest the fries after the big ones. Sometimes the little ones get through the net.
