Obama's 'emergency' powers over Internet: Cybersecurity Bill S. 773

It's proposed that the White House should have emergency powers to control the Internet. A bill would give Barack Obama 'cybersecurity' authority to disconnect users and professionally certify IT people. In IT Blogwatch, bloggers get really spun up about it.

Hey folks, if no one is watching this administration, this should be a real shot across their bow. Hopefully it gets turned back or we might as well believe we are all in a gulag. The report your neighbor's comments about the health care bill was just the beginning. Wait till they start disconnecting anyone who utters so much as a syllable against the OZero and his band of thugs. With him directly working against those on the internet and his chums working against broadcast media, I guess we all better plan to get short wave radios.

The point here is King Obama is a hard core communists with the aspirations to overthrow America and be it's total ruler. This should never have even become a bill. It's time to start a list of the communists that make such a bills.

Looking on Thomas for S 773, I find some tidbits:

SEC. 7. LICENSING AND CERTIFICATION OF CYBERSECURITY PROFESSIONALS.

(a) IN GENERAL- Within 1 year after the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Commerce shall develop or coordinate and integrate a national licensing, certification, and periodic recertification program for cybersecurity professionals.

(b) MANDATORY LICENSING- Beginning 3 years after the date of enactment of this Act, it shall be unlawful for any individual to engage in business in the United States, or to be employed in the United States, as a provider of cybersecurity services to any Federal agency or an information system or network designated by the President, or the President's designee, as a critical infrastructure information system or network, who is not licensed and certified under the program.

So if you are a security pro, you have to get certification under the fed program, AND LIKELY HAVE TO DO WHAT THE FEDS TELL YOU, in order to maintain your license to perform your profession.
