STORM LAKE -- A 55-year-old Storm Lake man was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly making terrorist threats to Taco John's employees, according to a written statement from the Storm Lake Police Department today.

Roger Crawford entered the Taco John's on East Milwaukee Avenue and threatened to...use mustard gas on the establishment, the statement said.

Crawford remained angry when he left the fast food restaurant traveling westbound on Milwaukee Avenue on a bicycle.

Couldn’t he have just eaten at the taco place, and waited for his own horrible gas to be produced, thus polluting the entire establishment in a less felonious manner?

Storm Lake, Iowa. But I agree with reporters being so lazy as to assume everybody knows their locality.

My wife was born and raised in Storm lake, I lived there for 5 years. Was a beautiful peaceful community 20 years ago. Now, not so much.

Storm Lake Iowa. Been there many times.

Is there still any water in the lake? Last I knew it was going south.

Last I heard it was fine. Two massive dredging projects and all is well so I’ve heard. I remember one very dry summer when we walked across it never getting anything wet north of our knees.

Packing plants will kill a small town like SL. Labor turnover is upwards of 30% a year and the people that leave the plant rarely leave the town. A recipe for destroying a community for sure.

I have many fond memories of late night TJ runs (and not so good memories of hung-over mornings AFTER, where "runs" has a totally different meaning! - Ever see the South Park episode where Cartman has flames shotting out of his... Nevermind).

I used to LOVE Taco Bravos, and Super Burritos with their extra-hot green sauce! YUM! I had to google Taco Johns, and I just learned that there's one not too far from me, less than a half hour drive... Maybe if I get up the courage...

There was no real reason for a local Waterloo, IA rag to think their little local interest story would be picked up by a national forum.

I was always taught to write something so completely that it would be understood by anyone who would find it if it was dropped on the ground. But, then again, I'm not a reporter.
