Federal regulators have ordered Northern Star Bank in Mankato to improve its operations. It is one of a large number of small community banks in the state and nation that have received warnings for alleged lax oversight, operating without enough capital and "engaging in hazardous lending and lax collection practices."
I wonder if there is any corporate link between this bank and First National of Mankato, subject of a famous hold-up by the James Gang.
