As much as all of us on the thread disrespect this man, there is one thing none of us know and that is what is in his heart at the end. Don't forget about the Good thief on the day of the Crucifixion.

That's true, you're right. It is for no one to judge. I pray that Ted Kennedy made his peace with our Lord and repented.

Here's my but - as a sincere Catholic, I resent the fact that my Church has been hijacked by a small group of left radical fringe to advance it's own agenda. It is not true Catholicism, but a subverted social justice/political hierarchy.

Yes, and it provides cover for those Catholics who vote Democrat.

On the other hand this story was in the news this week in Baltimore:

10 Episcopal nuns in Archdiocese of Baltimore to join Catholic Church

By George P. Matysek Jr.
http://www.catholicreview.org/subpages/selectedstory.aspx?action=6750

After seven years of prayer and discernment, a community of Episcopal nuns and their chaplain will be received into the Roman Catholic Church during a Sept. 3 Mass celebrated by Archbishop Edwin F. O’Brien.

The archbishop will welcome 10 sisters from the Society of All Saints’ Sisters of the Poor when he administers the sacrament of confirmation and the sisters renew their vows of poverty, chastity and obedience in the chapel of their Catonsville convent.

Episcopal Father Warren Tanghe will also be received into the church and is discerning the possibility of becoming a Catholic priest.

(These nuns still wear a full habit.)
