My wife has it on to see what music will be used. I’m curious to see if anyone will have the courage to call the good Senator out on his refusal to accept church teaching on abortion.
Some thoughts:
“Holy God We Praise Thy Name” is an unusual entrance song. It is usually sung at the end of benediction.
I was surprised the Responsorial Psalm was not sung.
The second reading from Romans 8 is one of my favorite Gospel verses. It was agonizing to hear how badly it was read.
The Gospel reading was food for thought. Is Teddy wheat or chaff? Only God will decide.

Romans is an Epistle not a Gospel.
Amen Amen. I lecture at our Masses too and it takes some prep time to understand and get the phrasing so that the assembly can really understand it’s meaning. St Paul is one of the toughest.
