This bill will kill the only bright spot in Oregon's economy -- the organic food industry. Small farmers make their living by growing wholesome organic veggies. Thousands of people earn a living in the organic food industry including workers in organic food markets. If this bill passes, it will put an end to thousands of jobs in a regional economy running almost on empty already.

Typical of Democrats: They act out of greed and corruption to destroy the jobs of millions. And no one will hold them accountable. Once the act passes the game is all over. The health impacts on seniors and the young alone ought to be seen as so severe that no reasonable person would support the bill.

This is Waxman, Pelosi and Obama at their worst. Taking graft and payoffs and then openly rewarding the biggest rat in the woodpile.

I know. That’s what I thought last winter when this bill first hit the public. It’s a takeover of the entire food supply. Centralized control over everything that’s grown by the Federal government. You can have organic. It just has to be grown from Monsanto hybrid GM seed. Which, by previously existing patent law, you can’t save.
