The Fall Guy CIA Director Leon Panetta getting sacked by his own team.

In the game of political football that is today national security, spare a thought for CIA Director Leon Panetta. Quarterbacking is hard enough without getting sacked by your own team.

President Barack Obama fought hard for the former California congressman during his uncertain February confirmation fight. That's about the last thing the president has done for his spy chief. Quite the opposite: If the latest flap over CIA interrogations shows anything, it's that Mr. Panetta has officially become the president's designated fall guy.

The title has been months in the making. Mr. Obama is contending with an angry left that's riled by his decisions to retain some Bush-era counterterrorism policies. He's facing Congressional liberals still baying for Bush blood. He's hired Attorney General Eric Holder, who is giving the term "ideological purity" new meaning. Mr. Obama's way to appease these bodies? Hang the CIA and Mr. Panetta out to dry.

The day the corrupt Holder starts the investigation, Panetta needs to walk out and those under him as well.

Panetta was a dip---- when he was in Congress. Now he is learning what it is like when one is on the outside.

That was my first thought. After all, I would assume that Panetta is frustrated and upset about the double-crossing has Obama and his minions have been doing.

However, upon reflection. I would say that he can do more good by publicly being more forceful in defense of the CIA, and behind the scene trying to obstruct everything the Administration tries to do, and therefore becoming a major headache and forcing Obama to 'publicly' FIRE him for all the world to see.

Panetta probably has a file on Obama. CIA, after all. All he has to do to get even is to leak. I’m surprised that hasn’t occurred to the WH.

I read this article earlier today and two things popped into my head;

1) Penetta was Bill Clinton’s White House Chief of Staff and therefore still very connected to the Clinton’s. But the fact remains, this administration is crapping all over him.

2) Hilary is the Secretary of State and not being very will respected by the current administration and being sent on some really crappy assignments.

With two very prominent Clinton era figures being so badly mistreated, will we start to see some covert political destruction come from within the left to completely undermine “the one” for completely disrespecting these folks.

If not, it would make for good theater none-the-less...But it does seem like this administration, working very closely with pelosi, feinstein, schumer, fwanks, and reid are all working very hard to marginalize anyone left over from the clinton administration, as well as any one associated with the bush administration...How does that saying go, “The Enemy of My Enemy Is My Ally.”

If this proves to be true — it damn sure will be fun to watch.

Cheney has put the Obama cabal in a corner politically...but they're too zealous and arrogant to know it.

WHEN the Jihadis strike, the dims are so screwed. The American people will be as, or more pissed than at any time in modern history.

Pissed on a Pearl Harbor scale...but AT the administration.

However, the Jihadis are quiet for now as they watch us eat our own, and our best defense against their terrorist ways.

Once the CIA is gutted...expect the attack.

The CIA has been returned pretty much to the same status it was in pre-911, and we all know what that resulted in.

Panetta is not in control of the CIA. A Special Prosecuter is.

We have a Special Envoy (Richard Holbrook) who is conducting the President’s Middle East Policy, not the Secretary of State who is occupied with busy work in important hotspots like the Congo.

Charles Krauthammer put it best: “Even if we catch Bin Laden tomorrow, all we can ask him now is how he wants his lamb prepared.”
