The White House's handling of the health care debate has been nothing short of a disaster, and if you have any doubts, let's take a look at the latest Gallup Poll.
Support for President Obama among senior citizens is in a free fall. In only one week there was a 5-point drop-off from 48 percent to 43 percent. Gallup also found that for the first time since his inauguration, more seniors now disapprove of the president than approve.
I guess all those seniors attending town halls across the country are not Republican operatives after all!
Off the Hook
The brave men and women of the CIA who risked their lives to keep this country safe are being targeted by Attorney General Eric Holder. But New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson — who just happens to be a close ally of the Obama administration — is off the hook.
A year-long federal investigation into Richardson has apparently been called off. He had been accused of orchestrating a pay-to-play scheme after a major donor of his was awarded a lucrative government contract.
The scandal even caused Richardson to step down as Mr. Obama's choice for Commerce secretary. Remember this?
GOVERNOR BILL RICHARDSON, D-N.M.: I have asked the president-elect not to move forward with my nomination at this time. The ongoing CDR investigation would have forced an untenable delay in the confirmation process.
That was then, this is now. A source close to the investigation tells the AP, "It's over. There's nothing. It was killed in Washington."
It must be good to have friends in high places.

My mom and dad voted Obama. Now they get to hear their kids bitching about how bad the situation has become and how much worse it’s gonna get, plus what schmuck the Teleprompter reader is.

My mother not only voted for him, she put a yard sign out for him; she’s never done that before in her life. I can’t really talk to her about anything without it turning into politics, so I don’t talk to her about anything.
It’s not just the senior citizens that are fed up with the Dems, it’s the young adults as well. They are losing their most cherished demographic in droves. And not just to dissillusionment and rejection of politics, but they are losing them to the Right.
The socialists are having their “Senior moment.”
Some days I’m quite happy to let the Democrats have the reins as Social Security and Medicare go down the financial tubes.
When Obama won the election last November, I consoled myself by thinking that it was the worst possible time in US history to be handed the responsibility of power. Why? Because the forces currently at work are beyond the establishment’s ability to contain or control, and the voting public will blame whoever controls the government for the inevitable disasters yet to come. Better to have Dems take the rap.

Maybe AARP will partner with ACORN and sell Welfare as an “Early Retirement Plan” for children getting out of college. Make them think that “going to College” equates to working for 50 years at a company and that they deserve an “Early Retirement” so they can join AARP.
