You know, if I were a Catholic, this outrage of having a “high mass” for not only a baby killer but a cold blooded murderer would drive me right out of that religion. What hypocrisy.
(Of course, the child molestation by the priests and the complete attempts at cover-ups, would have already sent me packing years ago.)
This is a slap in the face to every Catholic who defends the protection of unborn children.

As a Catholic, and one who has been appalled for a long time over what Kennedy has stood for, I have to say that any Catholic who would be driven out of the Church over a funeral Mass for Kennedy, never really understood his/her faith. If one truly believes what the Church teaches (quite often different from what some members of the Church, including clergy, present as Church teaching) they would not walk away from Christ in the Eucharist.
