My point is simply that when there is a divorce, the courts are called on to resolve disputes between the parents and to ultimately decide what is in the best interest of the child. This ruling is not applicable to home schooled children in general, but to this home schooled child in particular. The mother does not have the right to home school the child unless the father agrees. If there is a dispute about where the child is to attend school, then, where the family law courts have jurisdiction over the child, then the courts will make that decision.
They did it in this case. There is always one party that leaves Family Court angry. This time it was the mother.

The same thing should hold true for the mom not wanting the child to be educated in a public school. If they can’t agree, the child shouldn’t be forced into a public school.
