A baby boom fuelled by the highest fertility rates in a generation has pushed Britain's population above 61 million for the first time. There were 408,000 more people living here in 2008, the Office for National Statistics said. But immigration is still impacting on population growth because 56% of the increase in births last year was from non-UK born mothers.

I read this article and it didn’t make much sense to me. The greatest increase was among non-British residents. It didn’t identify this group, but I assume that they are Muslim. Many Eastern Europeans left Britian, which is itself interesting. If I understand this article, and that’s a big IF, England is becoming part of the Islamic Nation at a faster rate.

All western governments are purposely encouraging immigration both legal and illegal to help save their social programs.

The baby boom and subsequent baby bust destroyed the whole model for social programs which were built with a growing population in mind.

So basically they are letting in the foreigners to pay for the social security of the boomers.

It's not my government. I am American. Born in middle Georgia.

Handguns are illegal here. Many freepers seem to think rifles and shotguns are as well but this is not the case.
