WASHINGTON--Government health officials are urging people not to panic over estimates of 90,000 people dying from swine flu this fall.
"Everything we've seen in the U.S. and everything we've seen around the world suggests we won't see that kind of number if the virus doesn't change," Dr. Thomas Frieden, head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, said in a C-SPAN interview taped Wednesday.

I remember the feds telling me that Swine Flu was probably going to kill me in 1978.
Just another manufactured crisis from this administration to push their radical agenda forward!
Didn’t some other country downgrade the swine flu and said folks didn’t need to take tamiflu or something? Looks like zer0’s sinking numbers are driving rahm to look for another “crisis” for the anointed zer0
It’s probably not wise to dismiss the swine flu threat as just one more Obama scare tactic. Swine flu infecting humans is rare but dangerous. The 1918 flu was a recombination of swine flu and human flu. The potential danger with this current outbreak will come this fall when human flu has the chance to recombine with swine flu.
yeah I’m not going to take chances with this thing. not everything in life is about us sticking it to Obama or Obama sticking it to us.
Swine flu in particular is nothing to take lightly. The Ford Administration rushed vaccine production back in 1976 for that very reason. Whereas normal flu endangers the very young and the elderly, H1N1 by contrast kills young adults with healthy immune systems. The immune system goes into overdrive and the patient in effect drowns in his own antibodies.

In 1976 more people got sick and died from the vaccine than they did from the swine flu.
The government scared the crap out of us for nothing.
My arm was sore for over a week after that injection.
In 1976 the main accusation was that the vaccine caused Guillain-Barré Syndrome in 500 people of whom 25 died. Subsequent studies of the 1976 indicate that the risk of developing GBS was one in one million.
In 1918 no one was vaccinated and that particular swine flu killed an estimated 50 million people.
