When was the last time we saw the pope, any pope, kick anybody out of the pulpit? I think they have a credibility crisis.
As a Roman Catholic, I must reluctantly agree.
The Pope’s private, closed-door admonitions of the in-your-face sins of “catholic” public figures is most definitely NOT getting the job done.
He might be making some headway in the salvation of their individual souls (doubtful), but the heir to St. Peter is ALSO, directly from the gospels, supposed to shepherd his and (His) flock. That requires public action and example.
