Even SNLIVE admitted their politics in comedy sketches.
So much satire in 0bama and Pelosi yet they quit the politics now that 0bama their man is in.

Thanks. All’s I heard on last nights news report was that he was turned down after he volunteered for Vietnam because he did not have enough flight hours logged.
No kidding!
You know, I have a problem with this. If this is true, then why didn’t Bush defend himself when all this was going on? If this is true, this demrat “politics of personal destruction” gambit could have and should have been killed still born.
Even in the face of an incessant barrage of spurious attacks by the dems over the 8-year Bush administration, he just stood there, wrapped in the cloak of his “New Tone” nonsense, and virtually said nothing.
Maybe someday someone can make sense of it. I really don’t understand people who will not stand up for themselves. I come from a Philadelphia row home. If you touch me I guarantee I’ll touch you back in such a way that you’ll not be able or not want to get in my way again.
“if joining the Air Force in the 1960s and early 1970s made you a draft dodger then we have a LOT of us!”
And, a supreme slap in the face of every Airmen ever.
That angle implies that Air Force is not as important or valiant as the other War Fighters. It’s truly heinous.
And though service “rivalries” exist, they are (generally) of a fraternal nature. My uncle did 3 tours (Army, Special Forces) and I *know* for fact that there were several times where air support is probably why he’s still alive.
I guaran-damn-tee that when put back-to-back, every Marine, Airmen, or Infantrymen would identify themselves as one thing: brothers.
I call them all (Guardsmen too) something simpler: patriots, period.
O’Reilly is a suck a$$, anyway. His act is really over done and filled to the brim with cynicism. This is a minor difference between him and the Mapes and Rathers of the world.
No, sadly much of the blame is on Bush who, for most of his public life felt it undignified to respond to buckets of slime hurled at him. On some level you simply HAVE to respond or have surrogates respond, or -gasp- have the RNC do some work.
The problem with being to dignified to respond means that all the flat out lies stick and directly impact the entire party of supporters.
I hear ya. Good point. I am not persay defending Bush in this light but I recall the MSM at this time-frame having more respect than nowadays. (Specifically Dan Rather) as being one of the old school cronies. Therefore their spin was more so believed and any Bush defense was drowned out.
As well as, the liberals perfected demonizing Bush and making him out as stupid, the big bad boogey man of war-BTW there were WMD they were moved to Syria- so well... everyone fell for it.
Mary, you MAGNIFICENTLY ignorant slut.
CBS
See? BS.

I like that!
the story I mentioned
any Bush defense was drowned out
Exactly! The ‘Defense’ was ignored. Many blogs had the low down on this and tried to get the attention of the SRM.
If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, did it make a sound?
I have read the same thing about the F-102 being ‘a handfull’ to fly. The son of a Hollywood actor (Dean Martin?) was killed in the early 70s flying a F-102 as a member of the California Air Guard. F-102’s were built for continental air defense mission and were not fighter-bombers. I remember seeing pictures of F-102s in revetments in the first year or two of Vietnam, and then they were withdrawn when it was decided that we didn’t need them there in the air defense role but could do with the F-110.
‘I can see Russia from my window’ on SNLive was reported in a non biased documentary as people thinking that WAS Sarah Palin. The MSM will do ANYTHING to make Palin, Bush, any conservative out to be a nut case.

One thing many don't know is that the century series ( F-100 through F-111 ) of aircraft had a quirk where they would explode. Design weakness in the engines and fuel systems was the culprit. They had just started seeing results in solving the problem about the time President Bush got out.
How come I have known for a number of years that President Bush volunteered for Vietnam, but Bernard Goldberg didn’t know until now? Maybe Goldberg doesn’t read Free Republic?
