Bingo.
Sigh.
>>”And what would *you* do if you saw your wife bound with duct tape and a gun pointed at her?”<<
I would announce through the media that we replaced ALL the items taken with better more expensive stuff and we got rid of all our guns because now we see how dangerous they can be. Then leave the door unlocked and wait.........with a short barreled 12 ga. shotgun. If that didn’t produce the desired results within a week, then I would hunt every one of them down and deliver appropriate justice.
I didn’t read the story. Did the guy leave his wife there alone and go after the perps? If so, that was stupid.
>>>Marcus was a good kid. He didnt deserve to be hunted down. He made a dumb mistake and now he paid wit his life....
You forgot to add that he was turning his life around and was ready to go to college, become a doctor and find a cure for well...everything.<<<
I wonder if mothers teach their daughters these cliches, to use when their thug sons get killed while committing a violent crime, the way Kevin Costner taught baseball cliches for the press to Tim Robbins in the movie “Bull Durham”?
Give the man a medal.
Yes, I know. Just like in many police shootings where the perp WAS armed at one point, but somehow no longer was when shot. Could it be that someone else took his gun?
The fact still is no gun was recovered and my point is that if it were a cop, my oh my, would certain FReepers bash that cop and compare cops to Nazis. Still unbelievable.
Peddle your crybaby liberal bullshit somewhere else - we're tired of thugs and gangs taking what they want because the court system is full of asswipes
White bloomers?
He was about to turn his life around.
He was gonna take a night class in pursuit of his GED.
He was an aspiring rapper.
He was considering maybe beginning to take responsibility for his out-of-wedlock progeny.
If ONLY we had more midnight basketball programs!
Screw any DA who would bring chargers!
As long as the perp is truly dead, kinda hard to dispute.
You should write poetry.
First, it goes through a Grand Jury, which is composed of citizens of the community. That’s the first step in this process. If *citizens* proceed with a Bill of Indictment against the man, then that will tell you something, right there... (being that it’s from citizens of the community). And the Grand Jury system is a “protection” that is built into our legal system.
Then the next level of protection comes “online” in our system, which would be a trial by a jury of his peers. And from that we’ll see if anything comes of it.
If there is any question on the matter, the DA has to proceed, and let the system of checks and balances and protections work itself out... as I’m sure it will in this case.

The bottom line here, though, is if someone doesn’t want to *go through this system* of checks and balances, simply don’t do questionable legal things, in which it will take a Grand Jury to weigh in on the issue, a DA to prosecute and a jury of your peers to pronounce judgment on the matter...
What rhymes with piece of crap community organizer?
Waiting for a thread on their favorite topic to come along, perhaps. This thread isn't about cops, regardless of your attempt to stretch it like Silly Putty.
i don’t know what you are reading, but the local news said the old man fired into the air perp.pointed a gun at him the old man shot him.they recovered a bag with 3 guns in it.from the perp.
Well it states at the end of the article that there was no gun found near the body. Unless what you say is new information that has come to light since the article was written I’m gonna have to go with no gun found. Or perhaps....After further investigation these guns were found. Hmm...could it be I had a knee jerk reaction and rushed to judgment before all the facts came to light? If I did you’ll have to pardon me, i feel so stu....oh never mind those few certain FReepers who rush to judgment in Police related shootings should understand how I could have made such a mistake.
