You're 100% correct. It is the same technique employed by Tawana Brawley and Reverend Al Sharpton twenty years ago and recently utilized by crackpot lefty Professor Kerri Dunn in California in the past few years.

The difference is, if this had been GOP on GOP, then Pelosi and the hacks would’ve been mentioning “hate attacks” and “typical republican hooligans” in every press conference.
Republicans will not mention a whit about this.
