The FREEDOM WORKS FOUNDATION, has taken a close look Obama's claims that there are about 46 million uninsured Americans. The truth is that the number is about 16 million, and when you factor out illegal aliens and those who make more than $50k per year, etc., the number is ONLY about 5% of that.

For the sake of that number, Obama is going to disrupt healthcare for the rest of America's more than 300 million citizens. Plus, push us further into debt. Obama Care will cost us $1.6 TRILLION over 10 years (on top of the nearly $9 trillion Obama's "stimulus" and "wealth transfer" is already costing us). Remember each $1 trillion = ONE THOUSAND x BILLION DOLLARS.

Why?

Because this is a tactic long recommended by Lenin and others to make populations dependent on the state. Grab all your personal private information. And transfer money from the majority to support the radical minority. This is the Obamanist verson of racial reparations and transformation of the United States into a socialist/islamic nation. After all, once the government has absolute control even of who lives and dies, it's an easy thing to force you to adopt another "religion." Simple as that.

PRINT AND PASS OUT THE "OBAMA CARE" CARD TO EVERYBODY YOU KNOW. The time to act is today. Or there is not going to be a free tomorrow.

You’re trying to say there are only 800k in this country w/o health insurance (5% if 16 million)? Why do people try to use “facts” like these when there are SO MANY real things we can fight the government takeover of healthcare on?

Read a little more slowly - the author is not saying that there are only 800K uninsured - he says that when you take out those that who for a variety of reasons CHOOSE TO NOT PURCHASE insurance (e.g. make over $50k, those in young and in good health, risk takers, those temporarily between coverage, etc.) - the number is vastly smaller than the widely quoted $46M. The contraction ‘etc.’ indicates this he is only providing a partial list. He is making the assumption that the vast majority of those who read this thread will be familiar with the detailed breakdown from 46M which has been detailed ad nauseaum in many, many columns, editorials, ripostes, etc.

QUESTION: The government already has a healthcare insurance called MEDICAID. Why don't they expand that instead of creating a brand new system?

ANSWER: Because MEDICAID costs over 70 times more than it was projected to when it was created.

Any program the government creates is going to cost many times what it is projected to and be more ineffecient. Once it starts, you can't get rid of them no matter how big a failure they are.

As Ronald Reagon once said, "Don't look to government to solve your problems; government IS the problem."

No matter how slow I read it, this sentence says that the number is only 5% of 16 million, which would be 800 thousand. And what does "those who make more than 50k per year" have to do with not having health insurance? I make a lot more than 50k per year and I still need health insurance.

It means that people with that income can presumably afford to buy their own insurance. So why does Obama want to tax everybody else in order to buy it for them?

Obama has stated that he does not support "reparations" for slavery -- because it DOESN'T GO FAR ENOUGH. We might presume that his instituting truly massive income transfers accomplished by the trillions he's spending to date and the trillions more he plans for healthcare "reform" will start getting into the ballpark of what he considers "enough" to compensate blacks.

He is certainly aware (he's a fraud but not stupid) that this induces crushing debt and will inevitably lead to punitive, job-killing taxation for those who are in the productive sector of our society -- but apparently he wants to do it anyway. For one thing, it further consolidates government power over private decisions.

Obama is committed to turning America into a socialist compound with tyranny of the minority. When the government is keeping records (even more than at present!) on your, your family's, your friends', your workmates' initmate health details -- and can decide whether you live or die merely by withholding medical care or influencing you to resort to Physician Assisted Suicide -- it's not too far away from getting you to subscribe to any other worldview or "religion" they want to stuff down your throat.
