Okay, it's been a day now...
The headline says "No Immediate Action On Kennedy Succession," yet the law says "the governor shall immediately cause precepts to be issued to the aldermen in every city and the selectmen in every town in the district, directing them to call an election..."
Do we have a failure to understand the meaning of the word "immediate?"
If the Democrats can't understand the plain meaning of words like "is" and "immediate," I can understand why they can't read bills that are 1,000 pages long.
I can also understand why people are so angry at politicians in the town halls, telling them that they don't trust them to follow through on the laws that they pass.
When is Patrick going to set the date for the special election?
IMMEDIATE is NOW!!!

Rules don’t apply here... Ted Kennedy’s senate website is still up... with every other senator, the Clerk’s office immediately takes down the site upon death and assumes control of the senator’s offices until a successor is named.
