I agree with the sentiment, but you know what? In the end, it won’t matter. We’ve turned the other cheek and shown way too much class for much too long. It’s time to fight fire with fire. That said, that fat, murdering pig is finally someplace more suitable for his behavior than the United States Senate. If he’d shown some class and retired from public life after he killed Miss Kopechne instead of arrogantly running for the highest office in the world and parking his drunken ass in the senate for decades, I probably wouldn’t feel that way. But he did, and he deserves every negative word written about or spoken to him. It’s nothing many of us didn’t say while he was alive, so I don’t see any reason to suddenly show respect for that piece of filth at his death that I don’t feel.
Yes, he’ll get the real ornate state and MSM send-off, but my two personal remembrances of the degenerate Kennedy are these:
When I spotted him at La Guardia about 25 years ago, Kennedy was being “escorted” into a waiting limo by a female aide, and he looked to be staggering and out of it. It was maybe 10 or 11 AM.
And a former GF who related that when she went to work as a (pretty) college intern at his Boston offices about 30 years ago, the first thing they told her was “Don’t ever, under any circumstances, get into the elevator alone with the Senator. Always have an escort.” He was a notorious lech and abuser even in his mid-40’s.
In Boston there are many unflattering stories about Teddy and his Kennedy clan. The MSM and the local papers have done a remarkably good job of protecting them over the years.
