Up north they call them crow bars! When i moved south years ago had to get used to calling the tool a tire iron. In any event it certainly ‘lugged a nut’ albeit in an alternative green carbonless manner.

In Chicago, we call em tire irons also. They are quite handy, but the smart city driver keeps his under the driver’s seat and not in the trunk, where it will do him no good in a real roadside emergency :)

There is a big difference between a crow bar and a tire iron. Try removing lug nuts with a crow bar.
