The "teachable moment" boils down to this: The good, upstanding citizens in America no longer rule the roost, and their values and norms are being replaced. We all live in the ghetto now, and our lives have little value according to our rulers. This crime, like the thousands of other B-on-W hate crimes that occur across our land are merely the result of a racist, oppressive society, and hey, who can condemn this bright young man for lashing out at his oppressors?

It's little social vignettes like this one, repeated over and over, that make social upheaval and Civil War more palatable to the common man on the street. Really now, what other recourse is there when it is open season on you and your family simply due to your skin tone?
