I understand that part. It’s the “who” and “why” that is being disputed. For purposes of clarity, the index that is being used to compute social security payments predates the Obama administration. Why are payments not going to increase? Cost of living has gone down. If there were any fiscally responsible Republicans they would insist payments actually be cut. Not likely, huh?
The majority of people in this nation ignored the idea of privatizing Social Security, led of course by the very ones who are doing whatever they can to make sure there is no money coming in to pay out these promises.
Republicans have become the 'devil' himself to the majority of our seniors on the subject of Social Security, and for the time being Republicans have no clout with them regarding what 'was' necessary to keep their remittances in the mail. Sadly I do not know how this will affect many of our seniors who bought the liberal deception. Could be why I cannot turn on the tube and not hear some 'big' Pharma ad for 'depression' pills.
Personally that is what I got out of Bama 'speak' describing his health care reformation when he said we might be better off giving old grandma a pill instead of a pace maker.
And given his religious speak last week health care has become a 'reformation'.
