He may have the numbers in his hands and getting the poll results firstest...But it’s not like he’s infallible or even close a significant part of the time. I still remember him being on BOR & H&C “swearing on a stack of...” that Hillary was destined to become the next POTUS..no doubt about it! ..No one else stood a chance!...

Dick Morris is usually wrong, but always interesting and entertaining.

We’ll see what the landscape is like. 100 is definitely high, but the public is more angry than I’ve ever seen them. If things continue on their current course, 2010 could make ‘94 look like an easy time to have a D next to your name.

Anything can happen between now and the election though and don’t count out idiot Republicans doing everything they can to insure a loss.

I know, it is Morris, but this is a stunning prediction.

Then bookmark this and see how Morris' predictions turn out.

Does anyone really think the SEIU brownshirts, ACORN, other union thugs, black panthers, statists, and obamabots will let this happen? “

The will of the people cannot be denied by a bunch of 2 bit, low life vermin.
We didn't fight a bitter war against the British, just to sit idly by and let some wannabe African dictator to come install a thuggocracy in this country.
If the big Zero wants a nasty, brutal right, he's on. So far, his ACORN and SEIU things have not exactly been having too much luck in their attempts to thwart the angry Americans at the Townhalls have they?
We will see soon enough in the VA and NJ governorship elections won't we?

But have the Repubs actually chosen some candidates with better morals than the dim-crats? If not, what good is it?

Now just where to these "Repub" candidates come from? Pluto? They come from the local elections. If you get out and allow nothing but conservatives in the ring, the rest will follow.

THIS is the time. THIS is the second coming of Carter. This is the Contract with America and the otherwise joyful demise of Mr. Peanut rolled into one. It's ours to piss away. They don't call the GOP "the Stupid Party" for nothing. Get off yer butt and make it happen. The "Repubs" are nothing without conservatives right now.

We are in a unique moment, and it's very much a lead, follow, or just get the hell out of the way situation. If the right allows the media to pick another aimless wallflower like McCain in the next election, you can kiss any chance of restoring this republic goodbye.

A GOP resurgence is only good if genuine conservatarians are elected. One hundred more McCainian RINOs won't be helpful at all to the conservative cause.

I’m done with worrying about republicans morality. I am worried about how they will vote. Will they stand up to the onslaught once they get to DC?
We are not going to elect sinless beings on this side of glory.

Doubtful we’ll pick up anywhere near 100. I’d be thrilled to pick up enough gain a majority and LET THE INVESTIGATIONS BEGIN!

Morris’s prediction of a 100 House seat gain is based on the assumption that America enters into a double dip recession in 2010.

Our economy has maybe 6 to 8 months of good times before inflation sets in. Thats when the second dip of a double dip recession will occur.

Be ready for $7.00 a gallon gas.

If Americans stand up for America, and do their duty to defend our country and flag, Morris will have been right. IT IS UP TO US.

There are 435 members of the House. There are 256 Democrats and 178 Republicans (1 position is vacant).

That gives the Democrats a majority.A 100 seat switch would yield 64% Republican and 36% Democrat.

That would give the Republicans a majority in the House sufficient to put forward CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENTS and can be counted on to defeat any Presidential veto.

Been a very long time since a single party had such a majority. However, it shows the power of the Constitution to deal readily with the problem presented by a weak but ideologically confused President.

Provided the Senate "goes along" with the House, the Speaker can actually "rule" in the senate a parliamentary prime minister can rule (given that degree of majority in the House).

Joe Morris may be low-balling the numbers here. It's possible NO Democrat will win in the next election, and after that kind of majority, certainly not in the foreseeable future!

NOTE: I know 64% is not 2/3 but you can count in a handful of Democrats to "jump ship" and become part of the Republican ruling majority ~

ACORN, Panthers and sundry Union thugs are vastly outnumbered; their advantage is in their superior organization. They have tentacles all over the place, many hidden, but they’ve had quite a head start. I think they derive much of their power because many of their activities, funding, leadership remains murky. Blow their cover and their influence can be negated.

But the irony of all this is that the Republicans always seem to be most effective and at their best when they are in the minority. That’s when they seem to “get it together” and, more or less, unite as conservatives. But then once they become the majority, they forget about why they became a majority and become big spending liberals. I don’t get it.
