Perhaps. Yes, she resigned. Will she still be charged? Did she get a BAC test? It's not reported, so I doubt it.

I can’t say what San Diego will do with the drunk charge, but in Fresno County it is extremely rare for someone to be formally charged and prosecuted for being drunk. The standard treatment for anyone is to hold them for 4 hours and release them with no charges filed. Habitual drunks, “winos,” used to be charged if they were arrested 4 times in 30 days. Then they would get 6 months in jail. It would give them a chance to dry out and get healthy. I forget why, but the program was stopped and many of them died because they were no longer getting shelter, food, and medical care.
