When is someone going to ask Obama why he elected to remain silent while this planned release was in the works?

The bigger question is when is someone going to ask him why he didn't remain silent.

It is just possible that the no-celebration deal had been made and might have been followed through

But when the Leader of the Free World then publicly orders a Third World Strongman NOT to do something, one of them is going to lose face.

Obama didn’t make a statement until after the release. Frankly, I am more concerned about the release than I am the celebration that followed. al-Megrahi should never had been released and Obama could have used the bully pulpit to have the decision reversed.
