Im madder than church lady with a dirty doily!
So now the government is sending out special inspectors around the country, to check out church bazaars and yard sales. How come? Because you might be selling something dangerous!
No, not, like, pickle jars full of arsenic or live leftover shells from WWII. They mean kids toys with teeny tiny parts!
Its true: the government is starting to go after thrift shops, poking through all those stinky orange muumuus and dusty Readers Digests and chipped tea cups to see if anybody is selling blacklisted toys and other crap.
Hell, thrift shops are the only places anybody can afford to shop right now, and broke people are selling their stuff on their front lawns. But we cant have THAT, can we? It looks way too much like unlicensed free enterprise and self-reliance!

“Old News” - As in it has been posted a number of times over the last few days - and that this was signed into law during the last administration.
As much as I hate to say it, George Bush signed this into law. I found this in a story that was posted the other day:
The Resale Roundup is being enforced under the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act, which Congress passed and President George W. Bush signed into law last year.
As much as I liked George Bush, I would of liked him much better if he used his VETO pen more.
Another make-work job for the politically connected but otherwise unemployable!
Good old George
Shame he couldn’t get the border under control.
I’ve been railing about this terrible “law” since Congress signed it as quietly as possible last year, and GWBush didn’t veto it... it’s a pretty miserable set of laws, and will do far less to improve consumer safety than simply letting a free market work, and enforcing the laws already on the books!
GWB was such a big Government Republican, They really should have let Jack Kemp get the nomination in 2000. Would have been far better.
