No staycation for the first family, who plan some private time-off at 28-acre Blue Heron Farm. Still, the president won't pause in his work on healthcare reform.
The president, First Lady Michelle Obama and their two daughters are set to spend the week at the well-appointed Blue Heron Farm, a private estate they are renting from a family of Republican political donors.

Reporting from Providence, R.I. - President Obama heads to the island resort of Martha's Vineyard today for a family vacation likely to be interspersed with talk of -- and work on -- his drive to pass a healthcare overhaul this fall.
The president, First Lady Michelle Obama and their two daughters are set to spend the week at the well-appointed Blue Heron Farm, a private estate they are renting from a family of Republican political donors.
The 28-acre spread affords the Obamas access to the sand and surf, along with something else they don't get much of when they travel as a foursome: privacy.
But the healthcare debate won't pause this week. And signs are that the president, and his White House-in-residence, will keep working, if at a slightly more relaxed pace.
Aides to Obama say he is planning to keep in touch with lawmakers, especially members of the Senate Finance Committee, by telephone. Advisors haven't ruled out entirely the possibility of a town-hall-style meeting before the family's vacation ends on Aug. 30.
Also, the island retreat is not far from the Cape Cod home where Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-Mass.) has been spending a lot of time this summer, raising the possibility that Obama could pay a visit to the ailing senator, a longtime advocate of healthcare reform who is battling...

Bush goes back to his (privately owned) ranch and the press goes ape, writing about how he’s not working and is partying while millions suffer.
Obama goes to the playground of the rich and famous, on the taxpayers’ dime, and the press makes sure to tell us how it’s a “working vacation” about healthcare reform.
Are Michelle and the girls going to open a fish market to supplement their produce stand?

George W. Bush was a GREAT president, IMO. We got Alito, Roberts on the SCOTUS and he’s a decent, decent man. Obama is the exact opposite - a 48-years-old man going on 13-years-old spoiled brat radical, and already we have a proven racist on the bench of the SCOTUS and who knows who else 0 will nominate if god forbid another justice dies/retires before 0’s term ends.
GWB is a good man. We now have a learn as you go idiot that panders to the world. He will not accomplish anything. The kids from the left are very naive and rather stupid.
Hope Obama isn’t going to slip poor old Teddy a blue pill now that he’s almost useless.
